Senior Design Project - Post 2.

Last Friday we did our proposal presentation and I think I did well. We were told that our presentation was really good, but a little bit short. We still have not got our grade or feedback, but should be getting those next week.

Last night I finished assembling the InMoov finger starter and tested it with the MyoWare muscle sensor. It took me a few hours to get the code right, but I got it working, as seen in the video below.

A problem I encountered was that testing the finger while connected to my laptop would shut my laptop off. I have to look up what might be the cause, but I think it may have to do with the servo drawing too much current.

Senior Design Project - Post 1.

Today morning I finished writing the report for my Senior Design Proposal. We have just a week before the presentation. I'm a little nervous, but I'm confident that I will do great.

After we do our presentation we'll start working on building the project. I already have an Arduino and four of the five servos we'll need and I have a basic code to control the five servos. We'll first start working on modeling the hand and assembling it. I believe it'll be better to do one finger first, with housing for one of the servos and test its functioning.
